playing was a considerable influence on rock music. After initial success in
Europe, he achieved fame in the United States following his 1967 performance
at the Monterey Pop Festival. Later, Hendrix headlined the 1969 Woodstock
Festival.
Sir Paul McCartney is an English rock singer, bass guitarist, songwriter,
composer, multi-instrumentalist, entrepreneur, record producer, film producer
and animal-rights activist. He gained worldwide fame as a member of The Beatles,
with John Lennon, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr. McCartney and Lennon formed
one of the most influential and successful songwriting partnerships and "wrote
some of the most popular music in rock and roll history".
Tony Iommi is an English guitarist and songwriter best known as a founding member
of pioneering heavy metal band Black Sabbath, and the sole constant band member
through multiple personnel changes.
